The Mill Press
Hi, thank you for listening to the The Mill Press Podcast. One important aspect of teaching is your credibility and accountability to the matters discussed in any public forum. We live in an age where social media, and other entertainment industries have highjacked the precious word of God, in an attempt to make themselves more relevant. As the millennium progresses to the coming of Christ I have seen an increase of false and unequipped teachers, that care very little for the soul of those they teach, and much less to the accuracy of the word. Some speak eloquent words and philosophies that echo the thoughts of man, whereas my vision for this podcast, this mill press, is to enrich the spirit with words of the spirit.
My name is Ariel Polanco, and I am the host and creator for The Mill Press Podcast. I was an atheist up until August of 2011, when i came face to face with the presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ. This single moment in Salem Pentecostal Church in the Bronx, would usher-in a new love, that even today grows anew every morning. I have been faithfully pouring over His word for the last fourteen years, leading me join Living Word Christian Church Bible Institute with Pastor Eric Aguirre in the pursuit and understanding of the scriptures.
In my life since coming to Christ, I have had great revelations. I have witness the redemptive work of Christ over my life, my family, my friends, strangers and all who have been called. I have suffered loss; I have grieved the pains of divorce, embraced the responsibility of single parenting, I have loved greatly, I have disobeyed foolishly, been blessed undeservingly, honored favorably, and yet nothing compares to the knowledge of knowing my God and King, Jesus Christ.
The Mill Press is not just a podcast for teaching, is a reflection of the pressing I have felt amidst the struggles that had once overtaken me in different periods of my life. Every word shared is a word that at one point or another rescued me from the oppressive reality of this fallen world. Yet, with every passing year, I have seen the companionship of the Spirit of God, the wisdom of his word when put in practice, and the applicable life advice within his word.
The podcast is called The Mill Press because a mill is often used due to its constant and repetitive rotary motion to bring about its purpose. The Mill Press is how i see my life in regards to his word, being repeated and pressed upon me, until perfecting its good purpose; to shape me in the likeness of Christ. This has been my life and learning, and as i have received, i wish to give to those who listen.
I hope you truly embrace the truth here at the Mill Press!
